In fact I was able get the whole thing up and running in less than five minutes, which is amazing given that it included the tying of the fabric to the carrycot!

There's a good amount of space in the basket too and I am awestruck by the fact that it has an open-top pocket on the handle bar so you can keep your phone and keys safe!

The only slight downside is the handlebar is low, which could be a problem for taller parents. However, it's encased in a gorgeous leather-like material that is soft and comfortable and cleans down easily, making it still a breeze to push with children and bags on your hands!

Hauck Pushchair Runner

The Runner is a great choice for parents who love to explore and are always on the go. Its large pneumatic wheels were designed to be used on forest and field paths and the front wheel can be swivelled and locked to give you more flexibility. The stroller also comes with five-point safety harnesses with a front bar that keeps your child safe on all journeys. The parking brake keeps the stroller on its feet while you take a rest. The seat can be adjusted to lay flat and the canopy can be opened to allow for maximum air circulation during hot days. The handle can be adjusted by more than 30 centimeters to accommodate dad's or mom's heights.

If you're planning an easy jog or a hike that lasts a while, the Runner is ready to accompany you on your journeys with a reclining, fully-flat seat and suspension air wheels that promise smooth, safe ride. It's their latest and the most expensive addition to the stroller line that is a bargain and lightweight. Like the Ickle Bubba Aurora or Yoyo it's car seat-compatible, so you can use it from the time of birth.

The new Pace features some stunning design elements, like a rose gold tint to the hood, chassis and stroller trims, which truly distinguish it from its competition. The grey, tan and cream fabrics in the stroller and the car seat are elegant and there is the option of adding the leather cover handle and bumper bar too.

It is suitable from birth up to a max weight of 22kg and the stroller seat can easily be converted from the carrycot to a 2-in-1 reversible mode, parent-facing or world-facing. The stroller seat has various lie-back positions, softly padded legs rests and an extendable sun canopy that has zip-off sections that are concealed, a viewing see-through flap, and retractable visor.

What's more, when it's folded it's Pace measures up at 56 32 x 43 cm which is enough to qualify as hand luggage with Easyjet and Ryanair, among others. It's also easy to fold down, using two buttons on the handlebar's opposite side that you can click into and pop up.

Bugaboo's Fox 5 is designed to be the ultimate, all-terrain stroller. Its unique chassis, with a shorter wheel-distance, makes it much more agile than its predecessor. I tested it with my two children - one a toddler and another eight week old - over rough terrain along woodland paths, grassy trails and even cobblestones.

The puncture-proof wheels are big in size - 22cm and a whopping 30cm - which means they can handle lots of different terrains. They also have an easy flap that opens or closes to allow more air in if you need it and is a nice feature. It is a little bigger than most pushchairs, but it isn't heavy or bulky when pushing it across bumpy surfaces.

The seat fabric can be washed by machine and the faux leather frames and grips are easy to clean. It is also quieter than other pushchairs, and I was comfortable with it on busy urban streets. It has built-in accessory points so you can attach parasols and footmuffs and also changing bags, snack trays, and even snack tray. You can also use the hood to block out rain and wind, but it's not waterproof. It's a single pram, however, you can also attach their Comfort Wheeled Board (not included) to give your child more leg room. It took around 20 minutes to put together the bassinet, and a similar amount of time to convert it to the seat.
