The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that has smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its run time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also automatically refills and self-empties its water tank.

The Roomba J7+, iRobot's smartest robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. The iRobot Home App is easy to use, but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner applications. It can take some time to download updates and it's sometimes difficult to tell whether they're functioning until you actually witness them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking for a vacuum that does more than just clean floors, the best automatic vacuum cleaner option is probably hybrid. This type of robot typically includes a built-in water tank, meaning they can both vacuum and mop your home at the same time. They also have a range of additional features, including smart mapping, small obstacles avoidance, and even the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. They are expensive at retail, but they often come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock has some of our most loved robot vacuums, and the Q5+ isn't an exception. It's their cheapest auto-empty model, and although it's not equipped with some of the features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great option if you're willing sacrifice a little to save a few hundred dollars.

The Q5+ is extremely gentle when it comes down to obstacles such as walls and table legs. This makes it a great choice for homes that have a lot of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in getting rid of dust bunnies which is a problem which many robot vacuums fail. The technology used to navigate in the Q5+ is excellent as well, with only a few misses in corners and on walls.

The Q5+, just like other Roborock products, can be controlled by just a few buttons on the device or through the Roborock App. The app lets you start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go areas or adjust your home map, or re-label the rooms.

If you decide to go with the Q5+, it comes with a brand new auto-empty dock that's designed specifically to make this robot simple to maintain. It requires a screwdriver install, but once in place the process of emptying the bin is simple. It has a large LCD screen, which is useful for setting up schedules or altering settings. This isn't an essential feature for the majority of people however it will aid in keeping track of the intervals between maintenance for your robot with ease.
