Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of cleaning dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet messes (spills and staining) in one time without the need to change devices. They can also reduce space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living areas.

A good combination bot will have excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models with docks that let them automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks and wash the mopping pads.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It's one of the easiest robots to install that we've tested. Unpacking is easy and the quick-start manual will have you running in no time. It comes with the complete dust bag, water tank, and a hard floor solution.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops are spun at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a range of brushes and attachments, and a user-friendly application that lets you choose the exact kind of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.

For instance, you can ask the robot to clean the kitchen and the living room thoroughly, but leave the bedroom to itself. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It is able to recognize small obstacles that other models can't. Its only issue is that it is known to smash into walls and objects at full speed. However an inspection of the cleaning history on the app will tell you exactly what the robot completed, where it's going, and which obstacles it has stumbled upon or avoided.

The docking station has an LCD display that indicates the time when maintenance is required for cleaning up debris and rinsing the dirty water tank. It's also able to mix detergent automatically into the water tank, with a 600ml bottle of eufy's own solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop are able to run for a long time and the mop is capable of running for robot vacuum and mop 184 minutes in Quiet mode, while the vacuum is can last for 136 minutes in standard mode before needing to recharge or return to the base to refill. The app is easy to use and intuitive and lets you view every aspect of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's top robot vacuum and mop. This year's model has an agitator that doubles as its mopping pad. This enhances the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has improved suction power, allowing it to pick up small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaner and mop cleaners might miss.

This Roborock model, just like the other two I tested is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it avoid obstacles such as furniture, walls, and robot vacuum and mop other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by incorporating a dual camera that can detect objects and decide whether they're a wall or another type of surface. It will then automatically alter its path and clean around them without skipping a beat.

It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, but it's also feature-packed. Its sleek, angular style is striking and has just three physical buttons that include the power button which can also restart cleaning; a mop-only button that doubles as a child lock; and a home button that can return the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank self-empties, and the bin is auto-filling.

The only downside I've found with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if it's required), it's a pain to remove the mount itself for manual washing. I've noticed that any carpet that the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mounts, which could cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number intelligent features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can manage and set up these through the Roborock app that is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the battery's lifespan. However, you'll have to go through a few hoops in order to enable voice control on this model which is a pity considering how well it performs otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop with incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its smart design allows you to personalize and efficiently clean while reducing time.

The X40 robot vacuum robotic cleaner and mop is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful options available. This powerful vacuum is able to clean up pet hair dust, crumbs and any other dry debris. It also comes with a high-quality mop that leaves hard floors sparkling clean, even without a wet pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet while in use with only occasional bursts during modes changes or self-maintenance.

The X40 also has an additional side brush that can be lifted and extended. This allows it to reach into corners that are hard to reach and clean curved furniture like chairs and table legs. It also allows the robot cleaner to access furniture with a low profile making it an ideal option for apartments or condos with tight spaces. The side brush tilts automatically down when it detects wet spots. This is a great feature that enables the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors through the frequent back-and-forth movement.

Contrary to other robots, which are limited to one task, the X40 can vacuum and mop at the same time. It can also be programmed to eliminate areas with carpets and mop only hard floors, and reverse the process. It can be controlled using the Dreame app or with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home to ensure a smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is simple and user-friendly and the X40's intelligent features are a breeze to install. Users can program the X40 for cleaning at specific times. It is also possible to alter suction power, switch modes, view floor plans and maps and control mopping settings. The X40 will also track its progress and notify you when it's done.

The X40 is easy-to-maintain and offers numerous convenient features, making it an ideal choice for busy families. The docking station can automatically empty the dustbin and wash the mop pads and refill them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It can also detect if the mop pad is at its maximum capacity and alert you to the situation before it overflows.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models on the market. It does have many features that make it stand out. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. This utilizes two mops that are high-speed to clean floors more thoroughly than the standard method, and has the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, dirt particles and remove spills and dirty spots.

The mop is cleaned and dried at the base station every time they are used. This is a great feature because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours from accumulating in the storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature we haven't seen in other robot mop or vacuum models. It could be a great way to keep your home cleaner longer.

There are a lot of choices, including the possibility to schedule cleanings and adjust preferences. They can be set through the app, or via buttons that can be found on the device itself. The app is easy to use and has many options for customising your cleaning routine. It also comes with several features that aren't available on other robots, like the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects dust particles.

The L20 Ultra has a stylish design that has a white-and-metallic look that looks sophisticated and classy. It is a little heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots listed on this list but it's not too heavy. It is solid and well-built. Mopping is well-designed, and the double rotating mop is great for hard floors or in corners. They can even extend to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature which is a nice addition.
